It is challenging for donors with severe diarrhea to self-collect stool/faeces samples. To address this challenge, DNA Genotek developed, in partnership with Crohn's and Colitis Canada, the OM-AC2 spoon accessory for liquid faecal (Bristol type 7) sample collection for use with OMNIgene GUT.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) patients rated it as a simple and intuitive collection method. When combined with OMNIgene GUT, the OM-AC2 provides donors with severe diarrhoea an easy-to-use collection method and provides researchers who study these populations the same high quality samples they expect from OMNIgene GUT.
